Dr. Haihong Zhu, Chief Technology Officer for Sentrinsic, the leader in embedded position sensor solutions, has been selected to present Sentrinsic's innovative technology at the National Fluid Power Association's (NFPA) August 2007 Conference.
Dr. Zhu's presentation titled, "Real World Application of Novel Position Feedback Technology for Fluid Power Cylinders," will focus on an overview of the technology, a discussion of practical design issues, and a demonstration of the feedback device in a robotics application.
"It is a great honor to be able to share my work with the biggest names in the fluid power industry. When I invented the Capacitively-Coupled Resistance Sensing (CCRS) technology, I was excited about the potential for delivering a low cost, high performance, embedded position sensing technology for hydraulic and pneumatic applications. Industry reaction to the technology has been outstanding," said Dr. Zhu.
The NFPA is a forum where all fluid power channel partners (manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, customers and educators) work together to advance fluid power technology and to grow the fluid power industry. Companies that will be in attendance included Parker, Festo, HUSCO International, Sun Hydraulics, Clippard Instrument Laboratory, Ross Controls, Bosch Rexroth, and Norgren.
