Sentrinsic Unveils New Position Feedback Technology at CONEXPO

Sentrinsic, the leader in new technology for embedded position sensor solutions for fluid power and electromechanical applications, unveiled their new Capacitively Grounded Resistance Divider (CGRD) technology at IFPE/CONEXPO today. Sentrinsic teamed with Polygon Company to demonstrate CGRD technology in a "smart cylinder" – a hydraulic cylinder that controls position without the need for a separate PLC or computer.

Sentrinsic's patent pending CGRD technology offers low cost, high performance, non-contacting, in-cylinder position feedback in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders without the need for gun drilling. Additionally, the lack of required endcap enables the technology to be directly integrated into double-rod end cylinders as well.

"We knew there would be interest in a robust, economical position sensing solution for mobile hydraulic applications, but the feedback we've received at this show has exceeded our expectations," said Sentrinsic CEO, Mike Orndorff. "We're looking forward to choosing several beta applications from among many interested parties who wish to have early access to the technology for use in their equipment and cylinders."
